Ingredients
Scale
Peach Sorbet Ingredients
- 800 g peeled and sliced ripe yellow peaches (fresh or frozen)
- 200 g caster sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the Peaches: If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them into chunks. For frozen peaches, allow them to slightly thaw for easier blending.
- Blend Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, combine the peaches, caster sugar, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and fully combined, ensuring the sugar has dissolved.
- Freeze the Mixture: Pour the blended peach mixture into a shallow container. Place it in the freezer for about 1 to 2 hours until the edges start to freeze.
- Stir and Repeat Freezing: Remove the container and stir vigorously with a fork to break up any ice crystals. Return it to the freezer and repeat this stirring process every 30 minutes for about 2 to 3 hours until the sorbet is firm and scoopable.
- Serve: Once the sorbet reaches the desired texture, scoop it into bowls or cones and serve immediately for a refreshing summer dessert.
Notes
- Use caster sugar for quicker dissolving and smoother texture; you can substitute with granulated sugar if necessary.
- If using frozen peaches, no need to add extra water as they release moisture when thawing.
- For a smoother texture, blend the mixture again before the final freeze.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer; let it soften slightly before serving.
<liAdjust lemon juice to taste to balance the sweetness and enhance the peach flavor.
