Description

Sweet Sumac Salmon is a perfect blend of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors. Coated in a mixture of sumac, brown sugar, and aromatic spices, this crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside fish can be made in the oven or air fryer in minutes!


Ingredients

  • 4 (6-ounce) skin-on salmon fillets
  • 2 teaspoons ground sumac
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  3. Mix together sumac, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  4. Rub the mixture evenly over the tops of the fillets.
  5. Drizzle the olive oil over the seasoned fillets.
  6. For oven, bake for 12–15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork. For air fryer, cook for 8–10 minutes until crispy outside and tender inside.
  7. Remove from oven or air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Pair with a light salad or roasted veggies.
  • Adjust the amount of brown sugar or chili flakes to taste.
  • Remove skin after cooking if preferred.
