Strawberry Sorbet is a refreshing, dairy-free frozen dessert made with just a few simple ingredients. Bursting with vibrant strawberry flavor, it’s the perfect naturally sweet treat for hot days or a light finish to any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, combine strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water.
- Blend until smooth and the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds, if desired.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours.
- Pour into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 20–25 minutes.
- Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes until firm.
- Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of the strawberries.
- Add a splash of vodka or corn syrup to reduce iciness if storing for longer periods.
