Description

Delight in these decadent Strawberry Shortcake Truffles featuring a creamy blend of crushed Golden Oreos, softened cream cheese, fresh diced strawberries, and a hint of strawberry Jell-O powder, all coated in a smooth layer of white chocolate. Perfect bite-sized treats for strawberry lovers, easy to make and freeze for a sweet indulgence anytime.

Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Mixture

  • 216 grams (1 package) Golden Oreos, finely crushed
  • 8-ounce block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup finely diced fresh strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon strawberry Jell-O powder

Coating

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • Optional: sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the truffle base: In a large bowl, beat together the finely crushed Golden Oreos, softened cream cheese, diced strawberries, and strawberry Jell-O powder until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  2. Shape the truffles: Using a 2-tablespoon sized cookie scoop, portion the truffle mixture into balls and place them evenly spaced on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  3. Chill the truffles: Place the baking sheet with truffle balls into the freezer and chill for a minimum of 2 hours to firm up before dipping.
  4. Melt the white chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips by heating for 1 minute, stirring well, then continuing in 30-second intervals stirring each time until smooth and fully melted.
  5. Dip the truffles: Remove only 3 truffles at a time from the freezer to keep them firm. Using a fork, dip each truffle fully into the melted white chocolate, gently tapping the fork on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate. Optionally, sprinkle with sprinkles on top.
  6. Set the coating: Place the dipped truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and return them to the freezer to allow the chocolate coating to harden completely.
  7. Final chill: Let the truffles set in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before serving, ensuring a firm and delicious treat.

Notes

  • Freeze the truffles before dipping to prevent crumbling and maintain shape.
  • Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Crush Oreos finely using a food processor for best consistency.
  • Use dry Jell-O powder, not prepared Jell-O, for proper flavor and texture.
  • Store truffles in the freezer to keep them firm and fresh.
