Ingredients
Scale
Truffle Mixture
- 216 grams (1 package) Golden Oreos, finely crushed
- 8-ounce block cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup finely diced fresh strawberries
- 1 teaspoon strawberry Jell-O powder
Coating
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- Optional: sprinkles for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the truffle base: In a large bowl, beat together the finely crushed Golden Oreos, softened cream cheese, diced strawberries, and strawberry Jell-O powder until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Shape the truffles: Using a 2-tablespoon sized cookie scoop, portion the truffle mixture into balls and place them evenly spaced on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
- Chill the truffles: Place the baking sheet with truffle balls into the freezer and chill for a minimum of 2 hours to firm up before dipping.
- Melt the white chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips by heating for 1 minute, stirring well, then continuing in 30-second intervals stirring each time until smooth and fully melted.
- Dip the truffles: Remove only 3 truffles at a time from the freezer to keep them firm. Using a fork, dip each truffle fully into the melted white chocolate, gently tapping the fork on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate. Optionally, sprinkle with sprinkles on top.
- Set the coating: Place the dipped truffles back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and return them to the freezer to allow the chocolate coating to harden completely.
- Final chill: Let the truffles set in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before serving, ensuring a firm and delicious treat.
Notes
- Freeze the truffles before dipping to prevent crumbling and maintain shape.
- Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
- Crush Oreos finely using a food processor for best consistency.
- Use dry Jell-O powder, not prepared Jell-O, for proper flavor and texture.
- Store truffles in the freezer to keep them firm and fresh.
