Description

Fluffy donuts filled with creamy strawberry cheesecake filling and topped with a sweet glaze. A decadent treat that’s perfect for brunch or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (30g) powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (100g) strawberry jam or preserves
  • 1/2 cup (60g) diced fresh strawberries
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and heavy cream until smooth and fluffy. Fold in the strawberry jam and diced strawberries. Chill until ready to use.
  2. Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Fry the biscuit dough in batches for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and let cool slightly.
  4. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze. Set aside.
  5. Fill a piping bag fitted with a round tip with the cheesecake filling. Insert into each donut and fill generously.
  6. Dip the tops of the donuts into the glaze and place on a rack to set.
  7. Serve immediately for best taste.
