Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Base

  • 320g (11.25 oz) dairy-free sweetened condensed milk (1 regular can)
  • 4 cups (320g) fine shredded coconut / desiccated coconut, plus extra for rolling

To Decorate

  • 3 tablespoons vegan white chocolate or white candy melts, melted
  • 3 tablespoons black-colored icing, as needed
  • 2 tablespoons orange-colored icing, as needed
  • 24 thin pretzel sticks, 2 inches (5 cm) each
  • 12 red candy straps, 5 inches (13 cm) each

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Coconut Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the dairy-free sweetened condensed milk with the fine shredded coconut. Mix thoroughly until a sticky, moldable dough forms.
  2. Shape the Snowmen: Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into three balls of decreasing sizes to form the bottom, middle, and head of the snowman. Gently press the balls together to assemble the figures.
  3. Coat with Coconut: Roll each assembled snowman in extra shredded coconut until fully covered to create a snowy appearance. Set aside on a lined tray.
  4. Insert Pretzel Arms: Carefully insert two pretzel sticks into each snowman’s body to serve as arms.
  5. Melt White Chocolate: Melt the vegan white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in short bursts, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
  6. Decorate Faces and Buttons: Using a small tool or a piping bag, apply melted white chocolate for general decoration as needed. Use black-colored icing to add eyes, a mouth, and buttons on the body. Use orange-colored icing to create carrot-shaped noses on the snowmen’s faces.
  7. Add Scarves: Tie red candy straps around the neck of each snowman like scarves, trimming if necessary for a neat finish.
  8. Chill to Set: Place the decorated snowmen into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up and set before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the dairy-free condensed milk is fully mixed with the coconut to help the truffles hold their shape.
  • If the mixture is too sticky, refrigerate for 15 minutes before shaping to make handling easier.
  • You can use other decorations or colors to customize the snowmen according to your preference.
  • Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • These truffles are perfect as holiday gifts or party treats.
