Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Drumsticks
- 8–10 chicken drumsticks
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
Peach BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
- 1 cup peach preserves
- ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons fresh jalapeños, diced
Garnish
- Green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Season the Chicken: Place the chicken drumsticks into a slow cooker liner inside your slow cooker. Evenly sprinkle with cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder. Toss gently to ensure all drumsticks are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, peach preserves, low sodium soy sauce, and freshly diced jalapeños until fully combined.
- Combine and Cook: Pour the prepared sauce over the seasoned chicken drumsticks in the slow cooker, making sure all pieces are covered. Cover with the lid and cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-5 hours until the chicken is tender and falls off the bone.
- Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, garnish the drumsticks with sliced green onions for a vibrant touch. Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful meal.
Notes
- For slightly crispier drumsticks, preheat your oven broiler to low. Transfer the cooked drumsticks to a baking sheet and broil for 3-4 minutes until the glaze caramelizes.
