  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white miso paste
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate chips over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. Whisk in granulated sugar and brown sugar. Let cool slightly, then beat in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour brownie batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. In a small bowl, mix caramel sauce with miso paste until well blended.
  7. Dollop the miso caramel over the batter and swirl gently with a knife.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until edges are set and center is fudgy.
  9. Cool completely, then sprinkle with flaky sea salt before slicing.
