This festive Reindeer Chocolate Bark with Pretzels recipe combines rich melting chocolate with crunchy mini pretzels, candy eyeballs, red M&Ms, and optional holiday sprinkles to create a whimsical and delicious holiday treat. Easy to make and perfect for gifting or sharing at parties.
Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Base
- 2 cups melting chocolate, almond bark, or chocolate chips
Decorations
- 20 candy eyeballs
- 10 red M&Ms
- 20 mini pretzel twists
- Holiday sprinkles, optional
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate: Place the melting chocolate, almond bark, or chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking and allow for easy removal of the bark later.
- Spread the Chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly with a spatula to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Decorate the Bark: Immediately place the candy eyeballs, red M&Ms, and mini pretzel twists onto the melted chocolate in a reindeer face pattern, pressing gently to adhere. Sprinkle holiday sprinkles over the top if using.
- Set the Chocolate: Allow the decorated chocolate to cool at room temperature for 1-2 hours or place in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes until fully set and hardened.
- Break into Pieces: Once the chocolate is set, break the bark into irregular pieces by hand and serve or package for gifting.
Notes
- Use high-quality melting chocolate or almond bark for the best texture and flavor.
- If you don’t have mini pretzel twists, small pretzel sticks can be broken into smaller pieces as a substitute.
- Store the chocolate bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks or in the refrigerator to extend freshness.
- Feel free to customize decorations to suit your holiday theme or preferences.
