Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Mozzarella Pepperoni Croissant Rolls featuring gooey mozzarella and savory pepperoni wrapped in flaky crescent dough, perfect as an appetizer or snack served warm with marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Rolls

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

Filling

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or 4 mozzarella sticks, halved
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices

Optional Toppings

  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

For Serving

  • Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 individual triangles as per the package instructions.
  3. Add Filling: Place 3 to 4 slices of pepperoni and a piece of mozzarella (either shredded or halved mozzarella stick) on the wide end of each crescent triangle.
  4. Roll the Crescents: Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle tightly toward the tip, ensuring the filling is fully enclosed inside the dough.
  5. Add Seasoning: Optionally, sprinkle Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the tops of each rolled crescent for an extra burst of flavor.
  6. Bake: Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the croissants turn golden brown and the cheese inside is melted.
  7. Serve: Remove the rolls from the oven and serve warm alongside marinara sauce for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier twist, sprinkle red pepper flakes inside each roll before baking.
  • Substitute mozzarella with cheddar or provolone cheese to vary the flavor profile.
  • You can prepare the rolls ahead of time and refrigerate them unbaked for up to 24 hours.
  • To reheat leftover rolls, bake in a 350°F oven for 5 to 7 minutes until warmed through.
