Description

Loaded Fries are the ultimate comfort food, featuring crispy golden fries topped with savory melted cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions, and your favorite sauces. Perfect for sharing as an appetizer, game-day snack, or indulgent side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (about 1 lb) frozen French fries or 4 cups fresh-cut fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese blend)
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: jalapeño slices, diced tomatoes, ranch or hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the fries according to package instructions or fry fresh-cut potatoes until golden and crispy. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if using frozen fries and want to melt cheese in the oven.
  3. Spread the hot fries on a baking sheet or oven-safe dish in a single layer.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the fries.
  5. Add crumbled bacon on top.
  6. Bake for 5–7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven and drizzle with sour cream (use a piping bag or spoon).
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and any additional toppings you like.
  9. Serve immediately while hot and gooey.

Notes

  • You can substitute bacon with turkey bacon or veggie bacon for dietary preferences.
  • Try different cheese types like mozzarella, pepper jack, or queso for variation.
  • To make it spicy, add jalapeños, sriracha, or hot sauce.
  • Use waffle fries, curly fries, or tater tots as a fun alternative base.
