- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 2 slices tomato
- 2 leaves romaine lettuce
- Pickles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat a waffle maker to medium heat.
- In a bowl, mix eggs, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
- Pour half of the mixture into the waffle maker and cook for 3–5 minutes until golden and crispy. Repeat for the second chaffle.
- Meanwhile, shape the ground beef into a patty and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the burger patty in a skillet over medium-high heat until desired doneness, about 3–4 minutes per side.
- Add a slice of cheddar cheese to the patty and cover to melt.
- Assemble the burger by spreading mayonnaise and mustard on one chaffle, then layering lettuce, tomato, the cheeseburger patty, and pickles if using. Top with the second chaffle.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use mozzarella or a cheese blend for the chaffles if you prefer a milder flavor.
- Chaffles can be made ahead and reheated in a toaster or air fryer.
- Add bacon or avocado for extra richness and flavor.
