Description

The Jack Frost Cocktail is a vibrant and tropical drink that combines the smoothness of vodka with the fruity flavors of blue curaçao, cream of coconut, and pineapple juice. This refreshing cocktail is garnished with shredded coconut and can be adorned with a pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry for an icy, festive presentation perfect for summer parties or beach-themed gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1 oz blue curaçao
  • 1 oz cream of coconut (e.g., Coco Lopez)
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • Shredded coconut (for rimming the glass)
  • Ice (a handful)
  • Pineapple wedge (optional garnish)
  • Maraschino cherry (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass: Begin by rimming your cocktail glass with shredded coconut. To do this, lightly wet the rim with pineapple juice or water and then dip the rim into a plate of shredded coconut to coat it evenly.
  2. Add ice: Fill the glass with a handful of ice to chill the drink and keep it refreshing.
  3. Mix the cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, pour 1.5 oz of vodka, 1 oz of blue curaçao, 1 oz of cream of coconut, and 2 oz of pineapple juice. Add ice to the shaker as well.
  4. Shake well: Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is well chilled and combined.
  5. Strain and serve: Strain the cocktail mixture into the prepared glass over the ice.
  6. Garnish: Add a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry as optional garnishes for a colorful and tropical finish.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, use full-fat cream of coconut like Coco Lopez.
  • If you prefer a less sweet cocktail, adjust the cream of coconut to 0.5 oz.
  • To make the cocktail extra frosty, chill the glass in the freezer before preparing.
  • You can substitute pineapple juice with fresh pineapple juice for a brighter flavor.
  • This cocktail pairs excellently with light appetizers or tropical-themed meals.
