Description

A classic Southern spread made with sharp cheddar cheese, creamy mayonnaise, and sweet pimentos — perfect as a dip, sandwich filling, or cracker topper.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (4 oz) jar diced pimentos, drained
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and drained pimentos.
  2. Add garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix thoroughly until well combined and creamy.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Serve chilled with crackers, in sandwiches, or as a dip for veggies.

Notes

  • For smoother texture, pulse mixture in a food processor briefly.
  • Use a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack for extra creaminess.
  • Add a splash of hot sauce for a spicy kick.
