Ingredients
Scale
Steak and Seasoning
- 2 strip steaks
- 1 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil
- Heath Rile’s Garlic Butter Seasoning, to taste
Vegetables
- 1 sliced onion
- 1 large zucchini, sliced
- 10 oz grape tomatoes
Pasta
- 19 oz bag frozen cheese tortellini
- Water, for boiling tortellini
Sauce and Cheese
- 1/4 cup Buffalo Wild Wing’s Parmesan Garlic sauce
- Shredded Parmesan cheese, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak: Season the strip steaks generously with Heath Rile’s Garlic Butter Seasoning. Heat the avocado or olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes per side until they reach desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest.
- Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the sliced zucchini and grape tomatoes, sautéing until tender and tomatoes start to burst, approximately 5-6 minutes.
- Cook Tortellini: While vegetables cook, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook frozen tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well.
- Combine and Sauce: Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet with vegetables. Pour the 1/4 cup Buffalo Wild Wing’s Parmesan Garlic sauce over the mixture. Stir well to coat everything evenly and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Finish and Serve: Slice the rested steaks against the grain into strips and add to the skillet. Gently toss to combine. Garnish with shredded Parmesan cheese. Serve warm for a satisfying holiday meal.
Notes
- You can substitute Parmesan Garlic sauce with homemade Parmesan cream sauce if preferred.
- Use avocado oil for a higher smoke point and subtle flavor.
- Letting the steak rest after cooking ensures juicy, tender meat.
- Fresh Parmesan cheese makes a great finishing touch to enhance flavor.
- For a lower calorie version, use whole wheat tortellini or substitute with zucchini noodles.
