Ingredients

Scale

Slider Ingredients

  • 1 pkg 12 count King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 2 cups shredded roast beef
  • 12 slices American cheese

Garlic Mayonnaise Spread

  • 3 Tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or garlic paste

Butter Glaze

  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds or sesame seeds

Optional Garnish

  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350℉. Prepare a 9×13 inch pan by spraying it with cooking spray or lining a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup and slider removal.
  2. Slice Rolls: Using a serrated knife, cut the King’s Hawaiian rolls lengthwise so you have one large top half and one large bottom half slab of rolls.
  3. Prepare Garlic Mayo: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and garlic powder until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the bottom half of the sliced rolls.
  4. Layer Roast Beef and Cheese: Evenly distribute the shredded roast beef over the garlic mayo layer. Then, place the 12 slices of American cheese on top of the roast beef layer. Cover with the top half of the buns.
  5. Make Butter Glaze: Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan. Whisk in the brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard until fully combined. Generously brush this mixture over the top of the slider rolls. Sprinkle with poppy seeds or sesame seeds if desired.
  6. Bake Covered: Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking uncovered for an additional 5 minutes until the tops are golden and bubbly.
  8. Rest and Slice: Let the sliders rest for a couple of minutes to allow the layers to set. Transfer onto a cutting board and cut into individual sandwiches.
  9. Garnish and Serve: Optionally sprinkle parsley flakes and grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving. Serve the sliders warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For easier slicing, use a serrated bread knife to prevent squishing the soft Hawaiian rolls.
  • You can substitute deli roast beef if shredded is not available, but shredded roast beef provides better texture.
  • Experiment with different cheese varieties like Swiss or provolone for variation.
  • The poppy or sesame seeds add a nice crunch and visual appeal but are optional.
  • Store leftovers covered tightly in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat gently in an oven or microwave.
