Description

These Halloween Eyeball Jello Shots are a spooky and fun party treat featuring vibrant red berry flavored vodka mixed with strawberry jello, set into eerie eyeball shapes with bloodshot eye candies for a creepy finishing touch. Perfect for Halloween celebrations, they combine a playful visual with a tasty, boozy bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Jello Mixture

  • 1 box strawberry jello (3 ounce package)
  • 1¼ cups boiling water
  • ¾ cup red berry flavored vodka

Decoration

  • 9 bloodshot eye candies

Instructions

  1. Prepare Jello Liquid: In a heat-safe bowl, dissolve the entire 3-ounce package of strawberry jello into 1¼ cups of boiling water. Stir thoroughly until the gelatin is completely dissolved to ensure a smooth set.
  2. Add Vodka: Once the jello mixture has cooled slightly but remains liquid, stir in ¾ cup of red berry flavored vodka. Mixing when slightly cooled prevents the alcohol from evaporating while ensuring it blends well.
  3. Pour into Molds: Pour the jello and vodka mixture evenly into a mold or individual shot cups. To create the eyeball shapes, use round molds if available.
  4. Chill and Set: Place the molds in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or until the jello shots are firmly set and no longer jiggle.
  5. Add Eyeball Decorations: Once set, carefully place one bloodshot eye candy on the top of each jello shot to create a spooky eyeball effect. Press them slightly into the jello so they adhere but remain prominent.
  6. Serve: Remove from the molds if needed and serve chilled. These jello shots are best enjoyed cold for maximum flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use molds with round shapes to create realistic eyeball shapes.
  • Handle the bloodshot eye candies gently to avoid damaging their detail when placing them on the jello.
  • Adjust vodka quantity to taste, but keep in mind it may affect how the jello sets.
  • Serve responsibly, especially at parties involving alcohol.
  • For non-alcoholic version, substitute vodka with cold water or fruit juice.
