Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Base
- 1 pre-made pizza crust (store-bought or homemade)
Vegetables & Herbs
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 medium head of garlic
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Cheeses
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup feta cheese, crumbled
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Other Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Roast the Garlic: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the top off the head of garlic to expose the cloves, drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 35-40 minutes until soft and golden. Allow to cool.
- Prepare the Pizza Crust: Spread the pre-made pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil evenly over the crust to enhance crispiness and flavor.
- Mash the Roasted Garlic: Once the garlic head is cool enough to handle, squeeze out the softened cloves into a bowl and mash into a smooth paste with a fork.
- Assemble the Pizza: Spread the roasted garlic paste evenly over the pizza crust as the base layer. Then, distribute the ricotta cheese across the surface, followed by the chopped spinach.
- Add the Cheeses: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella, crumbled feta, and grated Parmesan evenly over the pizza toppings. Season with dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Add crushed red pepper flakes if you prefer a spicy kick.
- Bake the Pizza: Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden, and the crust is crisp.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle fresh basil leaves on top. Slice and serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- For a homemade crust, you can use your favorite pizza dough recipe or buy fresh dough from the store.
- If you prefer milder garlic flavor, reduce the roasting time or use fewer roasted cloves.
- Feel free to substitute fresh spinach with baby arugula or kale for a different leafy green twist.
- This pizza can be made gluten-free by selecting a gluten-free pizza crust.
- Leftover pizza is delicious when reheated in a skillet or oven to retain crispness.
