Ingredients
Scale
Base
- 10 Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (2 boxes)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
Coating & Decoration
- 16 ounces vanilla almond bark
- 1 cup red candy melts
- Green sugar sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: In a large mixing bowl, crumble the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes into fine crumbs. Add the softened cream cheese and mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well combined, forming a moldable dough.
- Shape Cake Balls: Using your hands or a small scoop, form the mixture into small tennis ball-sized rounds. Place these cake balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper.
- Chill the Cake Balls: Place the cake balls in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up, making them easier to coat.
- Melt the Vanilla Almond Bark: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the vanilla almond bark in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth and fully melted.
- Coat the Cake Balls: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled cake ball into the melted vanilla almond bark until fully coated. Let any excess chocolate drip off, then place back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Decorate: While the coating is still wet, sprinkle the cake balls with green sugar sprinkles. Melt the red candy melts according to package instructions, then pipe or drizzle the red candy melts over the cake balls for festive accents.
- Set the Coating: Allow the decorated cake balls to set completely at room temperature or place them back in the refrigerator to harden the coating.
- Serve and Enjoy: Once set, arrange the Christmas Tree Cake Balls on a festive platter and serve at your holiday gathering.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easier mixing and a smoother texture.
- Use parchment or wax paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
- If vanilla almond bark is not available, white chocolate can be used as a substitute.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- For a dairy-free option, consider using dairy-free cream cheese and coating alternatives.
