Ingredients
Scale
Beef and Seasonings
- 500 g ground beef mince
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic granules
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp oregano
Quesadilla Components
- 4 small flour tortillas
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 head baby gem lettuce, shredded
- 30 g sliced gherkins
- 0.5 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 tbsp burger sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with paprika, garlic granules, onion powder, and oregano. Mix thoroughly to evenly distribute the seasonings throughout the meat.
- Cook the Beef: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Assemble the Quesadillas: Lay two flour tortillas flat. On each, evenly spread burger sauce, then add a layer of cooked beef, followed by cheddar cheese slices, sliced tomato, shredded lettuce, sliced gherkins, and thinly sliced red onion. Top each with another tortilla to form a sandwich.
- Cook the Quesadillas: Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Carefully place each assembled quesadilla into the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese has melted inside.
- Serve: Remove quesadillas from the skillet, let them cool for a minute, then slice into wedges. Serve immediately while warm and gooey.
Notes
- You can substitute cheddar with any melty cheese like Monterey Jack or mozzarella.
- For extra heat, add some sliced jalapeños or hot sauce inside the quesadilla.
- Using a press or a weighted pan during cooking helps make the quesadilla crispier.
- Leftover cooked beef can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
