Ingredients
Scale
Pizza Bombs
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 oz can, 8 count)
- 0.75 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 1.5 tablespoons per bomb)
- 0.5 cup mini pepperoni slices
Garlic Butter Topping
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the pizza bombs.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning, stirring well. Set this mixture aside for brushing later.
- Separate Biscuit Dough: Open the biscuit dough can and separate the biscuits into individual rounds.
- Assemble the Pizza Bombs: Flatten each biscuit round slightly with your hands to create a small disk. Place about 1.5 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese and a few mini pepperoni slices in the center of each biscuit.
- Seal the Dough: Carefully fold the edges of each biscuit dough around the cheese and pepperoni filling, pinching the seams to seal completely, forming a ball shape.
- Place on Baking Sheet: Arrange the sealed dough balls seam-side down on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced evenly.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: Brush the tops of each dough ball generously with the prepared garlic butter mixture to enhance flavor and promote browning.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve Warm: Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy these warm, cheesy pizza bombs with your favorite dipping sauce if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute mini pepperoni with other pizza toppings like diced bell peppers or sausage for variety.
- Brush extra garlic butter on the bombs right after baking for an extra flavorful finish.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
- For crispier crust, rotate the baking sheet halfway through baking.
- These can be prepared ahead and baked fresh before serving.
