Description

  • 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, and egg.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir just until combined—do not overmix.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely or serve warm.
