Description
Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza is a comforting Southern-style dish that combines flaky biscuit crust, creamy sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and melted cheese into one irresistible breakfast pizza.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/2 pound breakfast sausage
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives or green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.
- Separate biscuit dough and press into a large rectangle or circle on the prepared pan, pinching the seams together. Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden.
- While the crust bakes, cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Do not drain the fat.
- Sprinkle flour over the sausage and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk while stirring until thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
- In a separate pan, melt butter and scramble the eggs until just set but still soft.
- Spread the sausage gravy over the pre-baked biscuit crust. Top with scrambled eggs and shredded cheese.
- Return to oven and bake for another 5–7 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped chives or green onions, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- You can add crumbled bacon or diced bell peppers for extra flavor.
- Use store-bought sausage gravy to save time.
- Try mozzarella or pepper jack cheese for a different twist.
