Description

This Best Chocolate Delight is an easy layered dessert with a crunchy pecan crust, creamy layers of sweetened cream cheese, chocolate pudding, and whipped topping. Perfect for potlucks, holidays, or when you’re craving something cool, creamy, and chocolaty!

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), divided
  • 2 (3.9 oz) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • Shaved chocolate or chocolate chips (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans until combined. Press the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 15–20 minutes or until lightly golden. Let it cool completely.
  4. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk until thickened (about 2 minutes).
  7. Spread the chocolate pudding over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Top with the remaining whipped topping and spread it evenly.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
  10. Garnish with shaved chocolate or chocolate chips before serving, if desired.
