Description

This Avocado Jalapeño Dip is ultra-creamy, zesty, and has the perfect spicy kick. Blending ripe avocados with fresh jalapeños, garlic, lime juice, and herbs makes it a bold, flavorful dip that pairs perfectly with chips, veggies, or tacos.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 12 jalapeños, stemmed and seeded (leave seeds for extra heat)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • Salt, to taste
  • Water, as needed to thin (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add avocados, jalapeños, garlic, sour cream (or yogurt), lime juice, cilantro, and salt to a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. If the dip is too thick, add a tablespoon of water at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if needed.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, omit sour cream or use a plant-based alternative.
  • Add an extra jalapeño for more heat, or use just half for a milder version.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, tacos, grilled meats, or as a spread on sandwiches.
