- ¼ tsp garlic powder (or garlic salt; if using garlic salt, omit the ¼ tsp regular salt)
- ¼ tsp dried oregano
- ¼ tsp smoked paprika

Optional Charred Peppers and Green Beans for Rice Bowl Version
- ½ red bell pepper, chopped into chunky pieces
- ½ yellow bell pepper, chopped into chunky pieces
- 60 g (1¼ oz) green beans, chopped into 1 inch pieces
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Cooking spray oil (about 10 squirts)
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 5 minutes to ensure it’s hot and ready for cooking the steak bites evenly.
- Prepare the Steak: Place the chopped ribeye steak pieces in a mixing bowl. Drizzle the neutral oil over the steak to help the seasonings adhere and to promote browning.
- Season the Steak: Sprinkle salt, black pepper, chili flakes, garlic powder, dried oregano, and smoked paprika evenly over the steak. Toss well to coat all pieces thoroughly with the seasoning mixture.
- Cook in the Air Fryer: Transfer the seasoned steak pieces into the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking or tossing the steak bites halfway through to ensure even cooking and a golden crust.
- Rest the Steak Bites: Once cooked, remove the steak bites and allow them to rest for 2 to 3 minutes on a warm plate. This helps the juices redistribute for optimal tenderness.
- Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately while hot and flavorful.
- Optional Vegetables (for rice bowl version): Toss chopped red and yellow bell peppers and green beans with salt and pepper, spray with oil, and air fry separately at 200°C (400°F) for 5 minutes to char and soften. Serve alongside the steak bites as a colorful vegetable complement.

- For charred peppers and green beans as a side or rice bowl addition, toss vegetables with salt and pepper, spray with oil, and air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 5 minutes.
- The ideal type of steak to use is ribeye due to its marbling and tenderness, but sirloin or striploin can work as alternatives.
- If using garlic salt instead of garlic powder, omit the additional ¼ tsp salt to avoid oversalting.
- Resting the steak bites after cooking ensures juiciness and better flavor.
