This 10 Minute Easter Dirt Cake is a festive, no-bake dessert perfect for spring celebrations. Layers of crushed Oreos, creamy chocolate pudding, and whipped topping are topped with vibrant green coconut ‘grass,’ Peeps bunnies, and Cadbury mini eggs for a fun and easy Easter treat that requires minimal prep.

Ingredients

Scale

Base and Crust

  • 1 package (13.29 oz) Oreos, divided

Filling

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (16 oz) Cool Whip whipped topping
  • 2 boxes (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk

Toppings and Decoration

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
  • 23 drops green food coloring
  • 810 Peeps bunnies
  • 2026 Cadbury mini eggs

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos: Place Oreos in a large Ziploc bag and crush them thoroughly using a mallet or rolling pin.
  2. Prepare Oreo Base: Spread the crushed Oreos evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish, reserving 1 1/2 cups for the topping layer.
  3. Make Cream Cheese Mixture: In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Add powdered sugar and mix until combined. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Prepare Chocolate Pudding: In another large bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mixes and cold milk until smooth and thickened.
  5. Combine Mixtures: Pour the chocolate pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture and blend until smooth and evenly incorporated.
  6. Assemble Cake: Spread the combined mixture evenly over the Oreo crust in the baking dish. Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos evenly over the top. Refrigerate for at least a few hours or overnight to set.
  7. Dye Coconut “Grass”: Place shredded coconut in a large Ziploc bag, add 2-3 drops of green food coloring, seal the bag, and shake vigorously to evenly color the coconut.
  8. Decorate and Serve: Just before serving, sprinkle the green-dyed coconut over the top of the dessert. Garnish with Peeps bunnies and Cadbury mini eggs to create a festive Easter presentation.

Notes

  • Leave some air in the bag when shaking the coconut with food coloring to ensure the coconut colors evenly.
  • Use instant pudding mix for this recipe; regular pudding requires cooking and would change the preparation time.
